Mambas at the King Bowl 2023

It all began at the well-known international tournament King Bowl. After the unfortunate split between Demy and his previous team, one thing was clear: his determination to compete at the King Bowl remained unshaken. Driven by that mindset, he set out to find players willing to join him on this journey.

This is how the Dutch Mambas were formed — a mix of players who had never played flag football before and others with more experience in the game. The first day quickly proved to be a valuable learning experience. Without a single win, the Mambas headed into day two, already short-handed due to several players dropping out with injuries.

Fortunately, Sunday brought reinforcement. Ocean joined the team and immediately injected new energy. With that boost, the Mambas finished the day with nothing but wins. That moment made one thing clear: giving up is not in our DNA. We keep fighting, learning, and improving.

With big smiles and renewed confidence, the Mambas move forward. 🐍💪
